Our Community

The Admiralty is a Planned Unit Development (PUD) in which residents own the interior and exterior of their units and an area of property around it. The attached townhomes are clustered in small groups within traditional English village courtyards. The courtyards project a sense of privacy along with scenic views of the grounds.

The Homeowners Association (HOA) provides services for a 24-hour staffed security gatehouse, lawn care, snow removal, garbage and recycling pick up, irrigation, and landscaping of the common grounds.

The clubhouse is the hub of community and available for rental by homeowners for private parties. The Special Events Committee sponsors a variety of social events throughout the year, and there are many clubs and activities. The community newsletter is aptly named The Log.

Amenities include an outdoor heated swimming pool, Har-Tru lighted tennis courts, pickleball courts, a Bacci court, and an indoor fitness center. The protected marina basin offers boat slips for motorized watercraft and sailboats, water and electricity, and a bubble system to accommodate winter storage.  Additionally, there is a floating launch area for kayaks and paddle boards.

Pathways along the Thorne Canal lead to a natural beachfront overlooking the Great South Bay with a panoramic view of the Robert Moses Causeway Bridge and the Fire Island shoreline. At the Community Farm, residents may reserve individual garden parcels to grow flowers and vegetables. The common grounds offer an idyllic parklike setting for walkers, runners, and cyclists. A variety of plant species and wildlife add to the sense of quiet seclusion.
